Flower Mound, Texas, located in the Dallas–Fort Worth Mid-Cities region, is a rapidly growing community that demands a budgeting process capable of keeping pace. When the town’s longtime CFO retired and the town lost its budget director, Flower Mound brought in Meg Jakubik as its new Director of Budget Services.

Jakubik carried significant experience with ClearGov from her previous organization and arrived with a strong point of view on how budgeting modernization should look. The town began implementation in June and published a fully produced Digital Budget Book by the end of July. Digital Budget Book’s interactive tables and calculation functionality enabled Flower Mound to address questions that surfaced once council members began reviewing the book, by displaying complete reference columns for historical comparisons and percentage changes. The same functionality also supported exporting clean PDF versions for elected officials who preferred printed materials.
