ClearGov Made the GovTech 100 Again!High Fives All Around!Good things come in fives: basketball players, great lakes, vowels, golden rings … Also, five is now officially the number of times ClearGov has been named to the prestigious GovTech 100 List (which also happens to coincide with the number of years we’ve been in business). We’re thrilled! The annual list compiled and published by Government Technology magazine shines a spotlight on the top 100 companies that are making a difference in state and local government today. In a market that continues to expand exponentially, ClearGov is proud and humbled to have made the cut for the fifth consecutive year. “From day one, it’s been our mission to build a community of transparent, modern, data-driven local governments,” said ClearGov CEO Chris Bullock. “We’re constantly developing new tools and enhancing our platform to help small- and mid-sized agencies serve their communities more effectively. Being recognized as a 2020 GovTech 100 company is further confirmation that we’re making a difference and staying true to our mission.” In a feature article introducing this year’s list, GovTech Biz associate editor Ben Miller and staff writer Andrew Westrope expound on recent trends that continue to shape and define the burgeoning gov tech space. As a SaaS provider that equips cities and schools with the tools they need to make better decisions, operate more efficiently, and communicate more transparently, ClearGov agrees that few trends have had a more profound impact on governing than the rise of cloud technology. Modern cloud-based solutions like ours deliver private-sector speed, flexibility, and efficiency on a public sector budget. More and more local governments that have been making do with costly legacy systems are finally moving to scalable and secure SaaS models because they make good fiscal sense. In fact, ClearGov now serves nearly 300 civic and school customers in 30 different states.
