Our story began in 2015 in a small town in Massachusetts, when our founder attended a public budget meeting and walked away with a simple realization: government finances shouldn’t be difficult to manage or difficult to understand. Residents deserve transparency. Finance teams deserve better tools. Communities deserve trust.
What started as a financial transparency initiative quickly evolved into something more comprehensive. As local governments sought better ways to plan, manage, and communicate their finances, ClearGov expanded to support the full spectrum of public-sector financial management.
